Well, looking more like a barber shop 11 than a Dolls Point Football team, last year's AAD Champs found themselves facing into a real step up in class when they met Connells Point at Poulton Park.
Due to the clash of strips Dolls Point resorted to their alternate strip, hence the candy stripes.
In a tense gritty game, both teams dominated at different stages. Dolls Point were down 0 - 1 at half time but had created a number of opportunities to score.
The second half continued in the same vein with both teams looking dangerous in attack. Dolls Point equalised mid way through the second half. With about 5 minutes to go, went behind 1 - 2 but a late goal made it 2 - 2, to open their account for 2017.
