The Over 35 boys went to Poulton Park looking for some consistency against the early competition leaders.
Despite being behind 2 - 0 mid way through the second half, the boys felt that they were more than competing and in many instances were making the better of the play. Regardless, 2 - 0 behind they were. Phil, in goal, made 2 outstanding saves to keep the score at 2. A goal to Dolls Point shortly before half time meant that they went into the break down 1 - 2.
The 2nd half was a rugged old tussle as both teams threw everything at each other and the game got testy at times. Dolls Point were controlling possession and held the advantage in territory. A penalty for hand ball was converted by Pato with about 12 minutes to go. Despite a number of attacks and holding possession for long periods weren't able to find that elusive winner.
A good performance all round.
